The action-packed film, which premiered on July 25, is captivating audiences worldwide, especially as it showcases the natural beauty and rich cultural heritage of Antalya, helping global promotion of the city as a picturesque destination.

Directed by Ritchie and starring Henry Cavill and Eiza Gonzalez, the movie is based on a true World War II story of a group of British soldiers who break traditional rules of warfare to infiltrate enemy lines.

This is not the first time Antalya has played host to a Ritchie film, as his 2022 release Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre was also shot in the seaside city.

International balloons fill Cappadocia’s airspace at Nevşehir fest

On Thursday, Nevşehir’s Ürgüp in central Türkiye became a colorful spectacle as hot air balloons from 17 countries, including Türkiye, took to the skies. This breathtaking display was part of the “Nevşehir Cultural Route Festival,” organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

Nevşehir, the seventh stop in this year’s festival across 16 cities, has been vibrant with activities since August 3. The festival features a wide array of events, including concerts, exhibitions, gastronomy and workshop activities, talks, and theater performances throughout the city center and nearby districts.

Hot air balloons from countries such as Azerbaijan, Belgium, and Brazil were prepared early in the morning at the Ürgüp Festival Area. The event drew significant public attention as the balloons ascended into the sky, creating a mesmerizing scene as they floated over the town for about an hour.

Hyperinflation in Türkiye slows as 50% interest rates start to cool economic crisis

Türkiye’s annual inflation rate slowed sharply in July to 61.78 percent, official data showed on Monday, as the country battles a cost-of-living crisis.

It is the second consecutive fall after consumer price rises eased to 71.6 percent in June.

“Annual inflation is falling,” Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on the social media platform X.

“We continue to get positive results in all areas of our programme, whose main objective is disinflation,” he said.

“The decrease in inflation will be felt more in the coming period.”

Education, housing, health, and hotel and restaurants saw the biggest price increases.
