Türkiye – a bird’s eye view

Türkiye sits at the meeting point of three different climatic zones and, as a result, has a tremendous variety of landscape features on the scale of a continent rather than a country. Deserts, mountain ranges, coastal plains, forests and pastures make up the massively diverse environment.

Add to that the many historical sites cataloguing Türkiye’s astounding history dating back to the 7th century BC, and you have a country that is a vivid mosaic of cultures and traditions.

Millions of visitors flock to Türkiye every year for a whole variety of reasons; some come for a beach holiday, some to take a journey through history, some for a walking holiday.

The one thing they (generally) all have a common is they carry a camera – or a mobile phone – to capture memories of their visit.

Many of these will get home, take a nostalgic look though their photographs and wish they could have got a shot from a higher vantage point.

It doesn’t get much higher than a drone.

We’d like to share some drone footage with you sent in by Fethiye Times reader, Omar Uddin.

The video includes footage of Mardin, Cappadocia, the Mediterranean Coast, Gaziantep, Konya, Ayder, Trabzon and Giresun.
